Green Procurement

To reduce environmental burdens in all our business processes such as development, production, sales, and services, as well as in the products, comply with environment-related laws and regulations, and meet the corporate social responsibility by bringing safe, high-quality and attractive products to markets around the world, we established the "Green Procurement Guidelines" in February 2008. Since then, we have promoted green procurement with the understanding and cooperation of our suppliers.
With an increasing number of laws and regulations requiring the management of information about chemical substances, we are now in an era when it is absolutely necessary to share information across the supply chain, instead of individual companies analyzing and managing such information on their own.
In order to reduce environmental burdens of products, it is crucial to procure materials and parts with lower environmental impact. To promote environment-conscious material procurement activities, we count on our suppliers' continued cooperation in achieving appropriate green procurement.
